III International Seminar: 'Climate Refugees': Beyond the Legal Impasse?
On May 22 and 23, 2025, the III International Seminar on Human Mobility and Climate Change will take place, co-organized by CEDAT. This third edition of the seminar is titled: 'Climate Refugees': Beyond the Legal Impasse?. The seminar will be held in a hybrid format at the Sala de Juntes of the Faculty of Legal Sciences (Avda. Cataluña, 35, Tarragona) at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona.
This seminar is intended for the university community, civil society organizations, and the general public interested in the relationship between human (im)mobility and climate change, particularly from the perspective of international law. It will feature researchers from various universities and representatives of international organizations, all experts in the legal dimensions of human (im)mobility related to environmental degradation and climate change.

The organizing committee is composed of Simon Behrman (University of Warwick), Avidan Kent (University of East Anglia), Susana Borrás (Universitat Rovira i Virgili), Stephanie Ascencio (Universitat Rovira i Virgili), and Beatriz Felipe (CICrA Environmental Justice).
